In 1937, Savitri Devi began working as an anti-Christian preacher for Swami Satyananda's Hindu mission in Calcutta. For two years, she crisscrossed the country, meeting with various tribal elders and arranging public debates with Christian missionaries. In her memoirs, she declared that she conceived of her reconversion mission as an exercise and deception. From the racist area and viewpoint, it was necessary to give the most backward and degenerate aborigines a false Hindu consciousness.
