Do Growth Mindsets Work for All Students?
Students of color and first generation college students tend to benefit more, in serch of interns, of their grades and course taking from the growth mind set. The scientific puzzle though is, well, do the advantage students not need the mind set? Are they not listening to it or something else going on? What we think is that students from groups that are negatively stereotyped in our society have to confront a lot of fixed miset messaging.
