Why We Should Be Worried About AI
OpenAI is leading the charge on developing techniques to detect if large language models have been generated by artificial intelligence. The technology could potentially either be misused to cause widespread harm or could cause widespread harm themselves. I don't see any reason to view it as anything that we haven't been dealing with for the history of technology already, says Andrew Keen. But in tandem we must develop better ways to defend ourselves against more powerful technology.
