Expected value can lead you to absurd conclusions if it's tiny, tiny probabilities of enormous paoffs. If we're just sort of naively following the math of expected value, that would say to me, hey, a few can save a million lives or shave point o o o, one % off the chance of a human extinction. But that seems like intuitively wrong. And then yo've got tis incedthen you've got es in compartively to the tiky question of where's that on the cin o value side of things, as well.
