Each host needs to know what IPs can I assign to this container so that if I need to talk to it, how do I do that? Then there is another network that is for communication across the cluster so that everything can kind of communicate with itself and get out to the outside world or so on. So all you have to do is actually give it the subnet mask. The host operating system is going to get an IP address on the local LAN and then OpenShift will take care of routing traffic from our communication network across the cluster back to our production network.
