"I'm afraid I'm bored with all kinds of stories about where I've been for a long, long time. We are a country with very few symbols and we are a country currently led by somebody who has said that we're a post national country," he says. "If my grandkids are going to learn Canadian history, they should be learning it in books not in a passport."
