Fenno: People are very much ideologically different between country and city. Nationalist parties shouldn't forget about people in the country, he says. And they shouldn't brace the drive as well though for liberation to move forward. But what might happen is that if there are these conflicts through the course of independence from colonial rule, this national consciousness won't have really arrived because people don't see themselves attached to one another., writes Fenno.
