Simon: Can there be parallel paths of serious people working on this while the disnyland band marches on? Yes. I see the future breaking into three paradimes. The first was defence of the status quo, and a certain group of peop will believe that and nothing else. So instead of trying to stop the disneyato, tell the disney people that gis you're mistaken. You can't do anything with them. We've all seen that. And where our needs are scaled right back, what we do and what we need and what we want all become the same thing. This is the social evolution of the social contract that we were talking about.
