Bravo air space goes from the surface to ten thousand feet above sea level. The highest doughnut, or wedding cake ring, is only ten thousand feet. From the ground up, it stair steps up there. If you're going to enter them, you need explicit permission from air traffic control. They want to make sure that they can track every single plane. And one last little bit of trivial about bravo air spaces that are, a producer dennis pointed out to me, is that the bravo air space around a sea tack airport in seattle is shaped like a football field.
