Can Christians Be Involved in the War?

There are certain types of evil that have to be stopped, otherwise they will spread around the globe and destroy humanity. The first military service we see in the bible is when abraham's nephew, lad you know, he gets kidnapped. We see that throughout the gospels, the jesus never treated soldiers as sinful or wrong for carrying out their duties. John the baptist tells soldiers to be fair and honorable.
