Is the War on Christmas a Cultural War?

My parents were frustrated by the fact that it had become the secular thing. They went out of their way to have religious references in the christmases that we had. And a lot of the defences of christ Christmas are actually defending it as a secular holiday. There isn't that much religiosity in it a but it sort of has that the trappings of feeling like a religious war. Wen, actual, i think it's more of a cultural war. It's absolutely about that.
