In the 20s, early 30s, he's still working on this. And then when he moves to Paris in the late 1930s, he starts writing more. I mean, he says like five or six of these scenarios that he's writing and none of those are produced either. Nothing ever came of it. In the course of the project, and then since finishing it, I've branched out into looking at many other figures from this world with a kind of a Russian or Soviet background.
