Is There a Loss of Methylation in HSCs?

I wonder if there's generally like a histone code or DNA methylation code, rather, for aging. On balance, is there more methylation or less methylation throughout the genome as a function of age? Of course, when we talk about genes, then it's a wash. There is some loss, some gene, but overall, if you just measure, the number of metatyl groups using HPLC, so there will be a loss.
