The Importance of Productivity in GDP Growth

Yashana Khera: I was just thinking, as you were talking about that, Yashana, I was thinking, Lauren Brandt, University of Toronto had a great paper a couple years ago. He said this is going to lead to a Soviet-style outcome in which you have the occasional Sputnik, otherwise illuminating a galaxy of mediocrity. That's a great line and I agree with Lauren completely. In an era where your talent technology and science, you just don't see it in the GDP growth. There's something wrong.
