The Importance of Repatriation in World History

Nadine McEn wanted to learn more about stone artwork after watching the movie Woman in Gold which focused on the portrait of a Delblanc Bauer. In comparison, Imperial powers invaded Benin City and Vienna and they used their status to steal sacred artworks through the dehumanization of the people they saw as inferior. repatriation on its own cannot excuse the mistreatment of Jews and Africans, but it is a step towards healing the pain caused by Imperial powers in the 19th and 20th centuries.
