The Fall of Rome Theory

The fall of Rome theory is probably not actually what happened. The Chinese Communist Party, they plan fairly far again or at least they set quantitative goals in the future and then great people based on how well they achieve them. So they do just display more agency than the US government does. And there has been a lot more noise about China. This is one of those things where Donald Trump has this incredible talent for starting really angry debates that then lead to interesting things later on. I think we should be paying attention to this.
