The GOP's Incentive Structure Is Different Than the Congressional Democrats'

The GOP should demand $5 trillion in spending cuts, Trump says. If they don't get that, they have no choice but to default, he says. That is just basically saying, flame on to the entire world economy, because he thinks it'll make him his glide path better.
