Norman Knights, a New Year's Resolution

William had taken what was a prosperous and influential kingdom, and he broke it. As the king of the English, William needed those resources to keep things running. The offered lands and titles with promises of more lands and titles didn't exactly do much to motivate the Norman Knights.
