The Good Chip Company and the National Security Guard Rails
The U.S. government is cracking down on companies that invest in chip plants outside of the United States. The new rules include a $100,000 limit for significant transactions to grow those facilities. John Sutter: These are national security related guard rails and they're easier to swallow or harder to object to. But it's going to raise an interesting question, particularly for companies that have plants somewhere else in another country.
