Is the Delay Taking Over the Sound of the Vocal?

I spend insane amount of time, i think, checking on vocals and background vocals. The way i do it is like i choose a sound i choose a blanket, off a canvas oft what the vocal could or should sound like. I have some favorites, of course, mostly plates, plate reverps, less hollowy virps. They seem to be like libet, more splashy and stuff like that. Thas nothing floats around the space that's not needed. Nothing forcason. There's no crud, no witness. It sounds clear, a like intended. And nothing is floating on good at one layer at the time.
