Planning Permission in Northumberland Is It Obligatory?

There is some evidence that there are continuations of boundaries but those are largely in areas where the landscape is very constrained. If you have a constrained upland valley then the boundary that you had in the Iron Age is probably going to be the same one as we've got today. But for the most part the evidence of discontinuities over long periods of time is stronger than the evidence of continuity. I can see why there might be an archaeological importance up in Northumberland and it's compulsory for developers to disclose this when they apply for planning permission. It's not I doubt that anyone would really want to get around it but if they did there are mechanisms to to police that I can put
