Is the Fed Really Bringing Inflation Down?

The Fed is successfully bringing inflation down, but they're actually probably overdoing it. The expectation that short-term rates will be at 5.1% at the end of 23, that inflation will be 3.1%. And so I would expect that somewhere toward the second half of the year, next year, the Fed will find that inflation is receding faster than they think. But again, I'm hesitant only from the standpoint that we're not immediately back to 2%.
