Does a Flood Narrative Contain Metaphor?
If a narrative contains metaphorical elements, does that mean it doesn't contain anything historical? No. There are different types of narratives, and they can contain greater or lesser amounts of metaphor. The church hasn't really addressed most of the early chapters of genesis, but it has given us some clari ation on the first three chapters which deal with the creation and fall of man.
