Elijah del Medigo wrote treatises inspired by or commenting on Averuis' philosophy. The influx of Jews from Iberian Peninsula brought the mystical tradition known as Kabbalah to Italian soil. As a hard-nosed rationalist, Deonmedigo was bound to find KabbalAH distasteful. But he also thinks that there are some truths found in Scripture that human reason cannot discover.
