The Role of Evolution in the Development of Religion

There are a couple different ways of trying to understand the evolution of religion and there are many different theories about this. The evolutionary study of religion wants to look at how those religious experiences might have intersected with other natural evolutionary processes. So cognitive science of religion, these scholars will often look at the ways that religious beliefs might be a byproduct of the ways that our minds naturally work.
