The Importance of Community in the Garden City

Howard Bookchin proposed the idea of a "Garden City" in 1899. He says it would be better than what we have now, but not perfect. The concept was criticized for its superficiality and lack of social analysis. But he also organized an organization to promote his ideas about city planning.
