The Serenity Prayer
"I love that prayer. I heard that, really heard it for the first time when I went to my first meeting of Alcoholics and Animus in 1972," he says. "When I walked into those rooms and I heard that prayer, I wanted to be liked so badly." He adds: "If you stay in these meeting rooms and you take the cotton out of your ears and you shove it in your mouth and you really listen and hear...the day will come".
