God's Unilateral Grace to Us Must Be Confirmed
The salvation that we have been given is not just a sort of spiritual life insurance. Rather, it is something that brings us into a new form of life and fellow ship. And so we are called to live out what god has given us, thereby confirming his unilateral work of grace towards us. There is a last judgment according to works. In god's judgment upon our works, our initial justification will be firmed.
