APL 360 Is a Boost on the GPU CPU
Not having these types specified is a huge strength on the GPU CPU. APL 360 was doing packed bit booleums where your array consists of zeros and ones then it stores it packed so each byte stores eight zeros and Ones. This is you know eight times more compressed than even storing one bit in a byte which is typically what a C programmer would do. It also means that faster algorithms can be used for that.
