Is the Web the Way to Go?

The idea that the world is going to be web based, and not necessarily on your n decentralized base, where does that run into problems? It runs into problems the second i'm away from a computer, andth that's a big problem. But luckily, at work, i'm three feet away from a computers,. And at home, i'm at my computer constantly.
