The Resource Curse in California
In the shape of the conflict, it is correct to identify China as the adversary. But it's not just the United States. We have to think in terms of the West, or in terms of as many allies as we can stitch together. The resource curse is the phenomenon of countries with an abundance of natural resources having less economic growth,. less democracy, or worse development outcomes than countries with fewer resources.
