Karun Yadav: The British Indian Ocean territory near the Maldives is a legacy of the colonial era. He says it was an extension of the Maldives, which means historically it was Indian territory. It's one of the major air bases of the Americans, military stations of the Americans in the world - similar to Guam. But that's what it is; Australia doesn't have nuclear weapons then why are they buying nuclear submarines under AUKUS deal?
