When you can cultivate your ability to respond rather than react, that's what you're attempting to do. Wincing is a device of keeping the suffering at a distance. We have an interesting thing, like if you get a bad tooth, toothache, you'll immediately separate the tooth from you. It's that tooth. The tooth was us until it started to be a nuisance. Then it became that child. I'm your child. You're that child. And then i'm trusting that whatever happens next wil i will trust it'll come out of a deeper truth.
