Folklore as a Process
One of the most notable changes to the field of folklore happened in the 19 seventies with something called the performance term. This new approach placed an emphasis on folk lore as a process, and not simply as a static artifact. It really ties in nicely with a bary tokens twin laws of the folklore process, which states that folklore is both conservative and dynamic.
