Is the Leopard a Symbol of Immortality?

In "Jereen Frozen," a frozen corpse climbs to the top of Kilimanjaro and dies there. The book's author, Harry Dresden, feels like he has not achieved immortality as a writer. In other religious contexts, mountaintops serve as the realm of the gods or immortals. Is this some sort of an apotheosis for Harry?
