Tiger Iskawa is Japan's first openly gay MP. He estimates that of the 143 love hotels and his ward in Tokyo, where he kind of works, that 30 of them refused entry to same-sex couples. They do still exist, but it must be a bit awkward just going in these couples - not knowing whether or not they're going to successfully succeed to get in.
