There's always going to be something in your speech that people will respond to and dislike. Even if someone talks the way we think we want them to talk then they'll say I hate how you use like well they use so a lot right? We have this set belief about here's how someone should talk but that belief is actually fairly fluid, he says. If we try to spend most of our time worrying about what people like and dislike in our speech then we're not going to be authentic and real as speakers said.
