Dream Girls - Is There a Difference?
When i left dream girls too, you know, to pursue a t vand film, i not wasn't the same welcome that folks might have gotten from, say, the cast of a hamilton. I'll never forget my first big hollywood casting director meeting. He looked at me and he said, "What do i do with a talented, beautiful black girl?" So i've got to carry on and make it work for me. That's what i had to take out of that cause i was like, you are not going to break my spirit just because you don't know what to do with me.
