The Role of Scholarly Work in Neopaganism
The term is poaching in the stacks. Couldn't you explain a little bit what that is and how does that maybe cross into appropriation or cultural appropriation in any way? So I poached that term from Sabina Malioko, who is both a Neopagan herself and an eminent scholar of Neopaganism. She had used it to describe what educated practitioners of cultural practices, including religions, do. And this was already explored to some extent by Tanya Lerman's book Persuasion of the Witches Craft.
