In principle, I would imagine that most people would assume that deliberately ignoring information would be rational. But according to what you're saying at least sometimes for people to be able to make decisions,. Could we say that it's rational to ignore certain knowledge or information? Right. What you see is that there's a whole breadth of different kinds of behaviors that could be labeled with the term deliberate ignorance. Some of the behaviors look highly rational and other behaviors don't look rational at all. And that's why this behavior, namely, to not look up information is so interesting and so worth our attention. right.
