Tolkien's the Silmarills
There is a little bit of fake news in this, Mr. Tolkien. I don't even care how you pronounce his name. One of the Silmarills ends up getting captured and then bound to the cliff face by an iron hoop around one wrist. He gets rescued, but they don't break the band. They have to cut his arm off. And he becomes the one-handed. That's not true. Gollum does it, right? Gollum's the hero. Even if by mistake, by accident, well, you know, these elvish sources, the fake news.
