Portraits - What Are They Doing Well in Their Work?
Do your due diligence first of all, see if their work is out there and they've already answered some of your questions for you. You might not find an artist that is exactly where you want to be, but you might find a couple that you can kind of mesh together in a hybrid. Just don't try and present yourself as a portraitist because you will get bored and tired of it so quickly and you will get discouraged.
