The Relationship Between Marketing Ops and Sales

The theory is that if you align them all on the same team, and so even though the marketing ops person might sit with the CMO like day to day and basically work on her team, she actually reports to a head of ops. That's how I've kind of understood it. So on our org structure here, on our operations team, we have someone who specializes in sales ops and someone who specializing in customer success ops and marketing ops. However, those three have very similar skill sets and they do understand how leads progress through the whole funnelSo they can jump in and they work together really closely just to make sure that whole experience is tied together. Beautiful.
