The subtitle, how the radical left conquered everything, must be read in light of the title, America's Cultural Revolution. The story is really how these fringe and radical ideas of the left wing at the time with Markuse, Angela Davis, Paolo Freira, and then a little bit later, Derek Bell, were outsider ideas that then became the conventional wisdom of all of America's cultural institutions. And so I really just trace the history of ideas. I tell the story of some of the key personalities and then the argument is all implicit.
