Lucille's Influence on TV
Lucille Ball was the first female movie executive or TV executive. She owned more studios space than any studio in Hollywood at her peak. And she greenlit all these TV shows that became iconic in their own right. Without Star Trek there'd be no Star Wars, without Star Wars, there'd been no modern blockbuster culture. In a way, she's responsible for TV because she and her husband invented the sitcom.
