Is It Sustainable to Not Have a General Election?
There's a big gap between going to a presidential system and having a, what feels like 12 week, 12 years lon sort of contest that just gets decided by the party membership. I mean, isn't there something in between that? There are all sorts of issues you could have about how you select them. Ad, i meannd, i think one of the things we are talking about listrust coming through er is that she wasn't even the main choice of the tory m ps. But i think there is a lot to be said for the system whereby it's the leader of the party that gets the most vote that that becomes the prime minister.
