Mookie Blaylock and Alison Chains
Pearl Jam was called Mookie Blaylock at the time and then Pearl Jam came out. The band had been up and down the coast and we had seen that place. I remember us using a big list of words, but we had also stayed there. So I'm sure it was all in the mix. We went from Mookie Blylock, great name to Pearl Jam, which is like, oh, it's pretty good name. It's not, now it's fine. You know, now it doesn't matter because it's like, you know, this is the old lovebone guys.
