I mean she did it does seem consistent with her character as as you both have laid it out just like very interested in experiences and like pushing boundaries of what is considered acceptable this is just like a super wicked awful extension of that yeah. She doesn't hunt the guy down she's just like okay but it is also sort of par for the course in her like how she thinks about femininity and womanness there are a lot of meditating on that throughout the book. There's a passage where she compares femininity to like a big maclike just as prefab just as soulless and like it doesn't matter that it's artificial it just matters that it tastes good.
