In light of what knox was saying about the literal bible, i really want to do this soet who cares? Particularly for christians, and even more so nich it down to christians who have grown up with the flood presented as a literal story. There are people who would try to tell you that if you loosen your grip on the literal then your faith is weak, and that your devotion is shallow. And in full transparency, i still feel a little shaky stepping out into this non literal approach. I've spent forty years of my life in the literal. The literal actually limits god in every way. It steals the nuance. It massacres the poetry of these words and these ideas
