Beta-Lactams and Bacteria Resistance

The main driver of bacterial activity of a gram negative bacteria treated by meropen and morbidal actam is the time in which the concentration of the drug inside the blood as a freeform is higher than the minimum inhibitor concentration for this bacteria to that antibiotic. We know from, again, in vitro and interesting physiology that the strategy of administration can influence the effect. With continuous infusion, we can generally speaking bring this time to always. And so, they are very often considered as a choice for treatment of septic patient or patients affected by multidrug resistance pathogens.
