The main driver of bacterial activity of a gram negative bacteria treated by meropen and morbidal actam is the time in which the concentration of the drug inside the blood as a freeform is higher than the minimum inhibitor concentration for this bacteria to that antibiotic. And so, they are very often considered as a choice for treatment of septic patient or patients affected by multidrug resistance pathogens.
